Getting Married in Bloomington
Bloomington is in Monroe County. Indiana residents apply for a marriage license with the clerk in the county where either of you lives, and for Monroe County that office is in downtown Bloomington. Indiana has no waiting period and does not require witnesses, so once you have your license you can be married that day.
We sign your license at the ceremony and explain how it is returned to the clerk, so the legal part is taken care of.

Can we elope in Brown County?
Yes. Brown County State Park and the surrounding hills are among our favorite places for an elopement. Officiant-only elopements are $325 Monday to Thursday and $400 Friday to Sunday, and a photographer can be added.
